That wait appears to be nearly over. During a recent earnings call, Lionsgate executives officially confirmed that a AAA John Wick game is in active development and an official announcement is on the horizon.

The Official Confirmation

The revelation came during Lionsgate’s Q2 2026 earnings call. While discussing the studio’s future roadmap, Adam Fogelson, Chairman of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, dropped a massive update regarding their gaming division.

According to the call, the studio is preparing to unveil its slate of high-budget gaming projects. Fogelson stated:

“Our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities. around John Wick and Saw and some others that we’ll be announcing soon.”

This statement marks a pivotal moment for the franchise, moving the project from rumored concepts to a confirmed production pipeline. Fogelson also noted that Lionsgate has seen increased interest in adapting their major IPs, and progress on these titles remains strictly on schedule.

From Movies to AAA Gaming

Why does this matter? The “AAA” designation suggests a big-budget production with top-tier graphics, complex mechanics, and a significant marketing push—a far cry from smaller, stylized adaptations.

John Wick wasn’t the only name dropped during the call. Fogelson’s quote confirms that the Saw franchise is also receiving a gaming adaptation, and there are hints that other Lionsgate properties-potentially including The Hunger Games – could be part of this new initiative.
