Assassin's Creed Mirage Valley of Memories DLC Launches as Free on November 18th

Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory, a brand-new free story expansion launching worldwide on November 18, 2025. This update marks the game’s second anniversary and offers fans an extended journey in Basim’s story, adding more depth and exploration to one of the most celebrated entries in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

What is Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory?

Valley of Memory is a major free update for all Assassin’s Creed Mirage owners, adding up to six hours of new gameplay and story content. The expansion takes place before the main game’s finale, following Basim as he investigates rumors that his long-lost father might still be alive in AlUla. His search leads him to the ancient valley, now under threat from a dangerous group of robbers. What begins as a personal quest quickly turns into a fight to protect the historic region and uncover its secrets.

What’s New in Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory?

Set in 9th-century AlUla, Valley of Memory introduces an entirely new map featuring fresh missions, side quests, and contracts. Players will be able to explore several iconic landmarks such as the Old Town of AlUla, the Musa Ibn Musayr Fortress, the Valley of the Stones, and the Necropolis of Hegra. The region’s vast landscapes hide ambushes and threats from robbers, adding new layers of challenge and discovery.

A standout feature of this update is Basim’s ability to play the oud. By collecting hidden music sheets through parkour challenges, players can unlock unique locations where Basim performs. The expansion also reimagines Assassin’s Creed’s signature black box missions, bringing new stealth mechanics and creative assassination opportunities.

Valley of Memory doesn’t just add a new story – it enhances the entire Assassin’s Creed Mirage experience with major gameplay improvements.

Replayable Missions and Challenges: All black box missions and contracts can now be replayed after completion. Each replay introduces new conditions and restrictions, such as avoiding Eagle Vision, staying undetected, or completing missions within a time limit. Completing these challenges rewards players with exclusive in-game items.

Parkour Enhancements: Ubisoft has refined the parkour system to make movement smoother and more flexible. Players can now manually jump, customize side and back ejects, and enjoy a new control scheme that improves rooftop navigation. These updates allow for more creativity and flow in parkour sequences.

Skill and Tool Customization: A new skill called Engineer 2 expands Basim’s tool customization options. Players can now equip all level 1 modifications simultaneously, while level 3 modifications have been added for every tool, making combat and stealth more dynamic.

New Difficulty Levels: Two additional difficulty settings have been introduced, giving players more control over how challenging or accessible they want their gameplay experience to be.
