Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, set to release worldwide on November 14, 2025, for PS5 and PS4. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, the game introduces a new co-op campaign, a refined multiplayer experience, and the return of classic round-based Zombies.
A Dark New Campaign
The story is set in 2035, where Raul Menendez resurfaces as a global threat once again. Players join David Mason and his JSOC team on missions spanning Japan, Nicaragua, Los Angeles, and the sprawling city of Avalon. The campaign supports solo play or up to four-player co-op and features new abilities that build toward the Endgame, a replayable PvE system designed to push squads to their limits.
For the first time in the series, player progression in the campaign carries over to multiplayer, Zombies, and even Warzone when Season 1 launches, thanks to a new global progression system.
Multiplayer with Next-Gen Mobility

At launch, Black Ops 7 will feature 16 core multiplayer maps, including 13 brand-new arenas and three remastered fan favorites, alongside two large 20v20 Skirmish maps with vehicles and vertical traversal tools like wingsuits and grappling hooks.
The Overclock System allows players to evolve grenades, equipment, and Scorestreaks for added customization. A roster of 30 launch weapons mixes futuristic designs with Black Ops classics. Movement has also been expanded with wall jumps, mantling, and new perk-driven sprint mechanics, opening up more tactical gameplay.
Zombies Returns with the Biggest Map Yet

Round-based Zombies makes its comeback with the largest map in Black Ops history. The story picks up with Weaver, Carver, Maya, and Grey trapped in the Dark Aether, where they encounter alternate versions of Richtofen, Nikolai, Dempsey, and Takeo. The update also introduces Survival maps for tight, high-pressure scenarios and Dead Ops Arcade 4, a chaotic top-down co-op mode.
Weapon progression has been expanded with a new Prestige system, giving players unique cosmetic rewards, attachments, and shared weapon builds that can be exchanged through build codes.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Editions
Pre-orders include early access to the open beta starting October 2, 2025, as well as the Reznov Challenge Pack, unlocking exclusive Operator skins in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
The Vault Edition comes with a season of BlackCell, four exclusive Operators, five Mastercraft weapons, a rare Ultra GobbleGum Pack for Zombies, and a permanent unlock token at launch.
