Senua's Sage - Hellblade II PS5

Xbox has officially confirmed the launch date and key additions coming to Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced, along with exciting news for PlayStation players.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Enhanced is set to launch on August 12 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Xbox on PC.

The Enhanced upgrade will be free for Xbox and PC users, while PS5 players—getting the game on the platform for the first time—can purchase it for $49.99.

A Deluxe Edition for PS5 will be priced at $69.99, bundling in a newly optimised PS5 version of the original title, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, along with the original soundtrack.

Players who already own Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on PS4 will receive a free upgrade to the PS5 version, ensuring returning fans can enjoy the game with next-gen improvements.

Among the highlights of the Hellblade 2 Enhanced update is a dedicated performance mode supporting 60fps gameplay.

“On PC, where you’ve had more flexibility with performance based on your personal hardware, we’re now offering a ‘Very High’ preset to push that fidelity even further,” Xbox says.

The game will also receive Steam Deck verification, marking the first time the title has been officially supported on the handheld device.

A new optional mode brings back the infamous Dark Rot mechanic from the original entry. The rot spreads with each failure, and if it reaches Senua’s head, it’s permanent Game Over—wiping all progress.

Additionally, the enhanced version introduces a revamped photo mode with a ‘Motion’ tab to allow players to capture cinematic videos, plus a Developer Commentary Mode featuring four hours of in-depth insights from the developers and cast.

This upgrade reaffirms Xbox’s commitment to enriching the Senua’s Saga experience across all platforms, while also expanding the franchise’s reach with its debut on PlayStation 5.
