A Definitive Experience for Days Gone Fans

With its improved visuals, new gameplay modes, and performance upgrades, Days Gone Remastered aims to deliver the best version of the game for both new and returning players when it launches this April.

Days Gone Plot

A deadly virus has ravaged the world, turning people into aggressive creatures called Freakers. In Oregon, outlaw biker Deacon St. John, his wife Sarah, and his best friend Boozer attempt to escape, but only Sarah manages to board a NERO evacuation helicopter while Deacon stays behind to help Boozer. Two years later, Deacon and Boozer survive as mercenaries, assuming Sarah is dead.

When Deacon spots a NERO helicopter, he learns from researcher James O’Brian that Sarah may still be alive. Meanwhile, they clash with the violent Ripper cult, led by Jessie Williamson, an old enemy. After Lisa Jackson, a young survivor, rescues Deacon from the Rippers, he returns to find Lost Lake under attack.

With Boozer’s help, Deacon destroys the Ripper stronghold and kills Jessie. Following a lead from O’Brian, Deacon discovers Sarah was moved to a military camp controlled by a fanatical militia led by Colonel Garret. He reunites with Sarah, who is secretly developing a cure for the virus, but the increasingly unstable Garret declares war on rival camps.

Deacon and Sarah attempt to escape but are betrayed by Skizzo, a former ally who joined the militia. Deacon is freed by a sympathetic soldier and returns to Lost Lake in time to help defend it from the militia’s attack, though Iron Mike, the camp’s leader, is mortally wounded. Seeking revenge, Deacon and his allies launch an assault on the militia, killing Skizzo and Garret, effectively disbanding their forces.

With the danger eliminated, Deacon, Sarah, Boozer, and their friends settle at Lost Lake, while Lisa becomes a bounty hunter. However, O’Brian later reveals a shocking truth: NERO was always aware of the virus’s ability to mutate, and he himself has become an advanced, intelligent Freaker. He warns Deacon that NERO is planning something massive, and nothing will stop them.
