Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that a new State of Play presentation will take place on Wednesday, February 12.
The 40-minute event will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch, starting at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM GMT.
What to Expect from the Event
Tim Turi, content communications manager for SIE, described the showcase as featuring “a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world.” Sony typically holds a State of Play in January or February to highlight upcoming PlayStation titles for the first half of the year.
Last year’s January event featured deep dives into Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin, along with previews of Death Stranding 2 and Silent Hill 2. In February 2023, Sony’s showcase focused on third-party titles, including Resident Evil 4, Street Fighter 6, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Potential Announcements
Sony is set to release Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei in 2025, while Marvel’s Wolverine and Fairgames are still without official launch windows.
There is also speculation that this State of Play could include the official reveal of a leaked PS5 bundle featuring Astro Bot.
With several major PlayStation exclusives on the horizon, this week’s State of Play is expected to give players a deeper look at what’s next for the platform.
