The rating describes – excessive violence, vulgar language, and direct drug use, suggesting a mature and intense experience similar to the first game. While games often receive ratings months ahead of release, this indicates that development is in its final stages.

Hideo Kojima has been teasing a potential new trailer for Death Stranding 2. Known for personally editing most of his game trailers, Kojima has shared images of a Premiere Pro editing timeline along with shots that are from the upcoming game.
Potential State of Play Announcement
Sony is rumored to hold its next State of Play presentation on February 14, according to insider NatetheHate. While not officially confirmed, Sony often hosts early-year showcases to highlight upcoming PlayStation releases.
For 2025, major PlayStation exclusives expected to be featured include:

Sony has also announced that PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit of PlayStation Plus starting in 2026, reinforcing its focus on PS5-exclusive content.
