Sony is expected to stream its next State of Play presentation later this month, according to reliable gaming insider NatetheHate.
The insider suggests that PlayStation’s next live stream will take place the week of February 10, though an official confirmation is yet to come. Sony typically holds a State of Play in January or February to showcase upcoming titles for the first half of the year.
What to Expect from the State of Play
Last year’s January event featured deep dives on Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin, along with reveals for Death Stranding 2 and Silent Hill. In February 2023, Sony focused on third-party titles, including Resident Evil 4, Street Fighter 6, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
For 2025, Sony is expected to highlight its major upcoming releases, which include:
- Death Stranding 2 (2025)
- Ghost of Yotei (2025)
- Marvel’s Wolverine (release window unknown)
- Fairgames (release window unknown)
Sony’s Future Plans for PlayStation Plus
Alongside upcoming game reveals, Sony has announced that starting in 2026, PS4 games will no longer be a key benefit of PlayStation Plus, as the company shifts focus to PS5-exclusive offerings.
With a strong lineup of games expected and a transition towards PS5, the upcoming State of Play could give players a clearer picture of PlayStation’s roadmap for the year ahead.
