EA has announced that “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” is available for preorder for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a release date of September 17, 2024. The last-gen versions will be priced at $49.99 and include various optimizations. Pre-order bonuses include the Hermit Cosmetic, Hermit Lightsaber Set, and Combustion Blaster Set.
Despite performance issues with the PC port, the Xbox One and PS4 editions may still offer a satisfying experience, especially for fans of “Jedi: Fallen Order.” The Verge’s Andrew Webster praised the game for its Star Wars wish fulfillment, even if the sequel doesn’t add much new content.
An update for the PC version will soon enhance technical performance, controls, and quality-of-life features. CEO Andrew Wilson called the game “pure blockbuster entertainment” and highlighted its critical acclaim and commercial success. EA plans to leverage community passion and key Star Wars franchise moments to maintain engagement over the coming year.
“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” was initially released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in April 2023, reaching millions of players within the first few weeks.
