A leaked video has revealed the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone map, slated for a 2025 release. Previously rumored under the codename Avalon, this is the first visual confirmation of the map and its points of interest.
Last year’s release of the Urzikstan map in Warzone had fans eagerly anticipating Activision’s next move, especially with speculation that the beloved Verdansk map could return. Amidst this anticipation, the new leak suggests what map might follow Verdansk’s return.
Twitter user betterthanalaix shared the first look at the upcoming map, which appears to be an early version with low-quality textures and sparse areas, indicating that the final map may look different. Despite this, the preview has excited fans with its array of points of interest.
The leaked Warzone map for 2025 includes several remastered maps from previous Call of Duty games:
- Hacienda (Call of Duty: Black Ops 4)
- Dig (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2)
- Hazard (Call of Duty: Black Ops)
- Outskirts (Call of Duty: World at War)
- Detour (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2)
- WMD (Call of Duty: Black Ops)
These returning maps, especially Outskirts from World at War, have stirred excitement in the community. The presence of these nostalgic maps aligns with previous leaks suggesting Call of Duty’s focus on tapping into nostalgia for its 2025 releases. While the map is still a year away and subject to change, the community’s positive response indicates Activision is on the right track.
