EpicDB, an unofficial site similar to SteamDB, has gone offline after users began compiling and sharing lists of apparent secret game projects, drawing the attention of Epic Games. An Epic Games spokesperson informed VGC, “We released an update so third-party tools can’t surface any new unpublished product titles from the Epic Games Store catalogue.”
While operational, EpicDB allowed visitors to browse game publisher pages, revealing unreleased titles, mostly under codenames. Listings included a Turok game on Saber Interactive’s page, Metal Slug Attack Reloaded on SNK’s, and Project Batman on Paradox’s.
Other mysterious product listings featured PlayStation’s “Utah,” Rockstar’s “Semla,” and Square Enix’s “Momo.” Users who delved deeper into the site uncovered additional clues such as file sizes and DLC names, suggesting these codenames might correspond to anticipated PC versions of The Last of Us Part 2, Red Dead Redemption, and a Final Fantasy 9 remake.
A highly reliable leaker recently claimed that the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered has been fully developed for over six months.
