Astro Bot's Grand Adventure: New Details Revealed Ahead of September Release!
Astro Bot

Sony has unveiled new details about its highly anticipated Astro Bot platformer, set for release on September 6. This upcoming title marks Astro’s debut in a full-sized, non-VR adventure, which was announced during a recent State of Play presentation. The game promises to be much larger in scope than Astro’s Playroom, the free game included with every PS5 console. Unlike its predecessor, which could be completed in about three hours, the new Astro Bot game offers a standalone adventure with over four times more worlds, 300 bots to rescue, and a range of new powers and features.

Sony has also confirmed that the game will not include in-game purchases or microtransactions. Players can expect to find ample coins on each planet, which can be spent in the Gatcha Lab, ensuring a complete experience without additional costs. The game will be single-player only and is exclusive to the PS5, with no plans for a PS4 or PlayStation VR2 release. However, a future PC version has not been ruled out.

Astro’s Playroom was widely praised for its engaging gameplay and innovative use of the PS5’s DualSense controller, and the upcoming game aims to build on this success. Featuring over 80 levels spread across six galaxies, the new Astro Bot adventure is designed to expand on the charm and creativity of its predecessor on a much larger scale.
