
Ghost of Tsushima has secured its position as PlayStation’s Fourth most successful game launch on Steam, in terms of concurrent players. According to data from SteamDB, the game reached a peak of 59,244 concurrent players since its release on Thursday.
This achievement is surpassed only by three other Sony-published titles, two of which were developed by Sony’s in-house studios. Helldivers 2, created by the third-party studio Arrowhead, tops the chart with 458,709 concurrent players, followed by God of War with 73,529, and Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered with 66,436.
The current peak player count for Ghost of Tsushima has already outperformed those of other notable titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, and The Last of Us Part I. With the weekend ahead, there is potential for this number to increase further.

The PC adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, available also on the Epic Games Store, was developed by Nixxes in partnership with the original creator Sucker Punch Productions. The game has been well received on Steam, earning an 85% positive rating from 4,573 reviews at the time of reporting.
Additionally, Sony announced that Helldivers 2 has sold 12 million copies within its first 12 weeks, making it the fastest-selling game ever for both PS5 and PC platforms.
