Deviation Games developers possibly forming new studio with Sony.

Sony has reportedly founded a new studio within Playstation with former Deviation Games Developers. This comes from Michael Anthony, former Deviation Games Employee who shared this update on LinkedIn.

“Hey, I hear that a lot of previous Deviation Games employees have setup their own studio at Sony working on an undisclosed new IP.” He wrote on platform. “All the people I see working there that have signed up are top class developers and hope that you can create a top class new IP with your studio that hopefully gives you all the time you need to create a quality product and not have to deal with red tape from previous projects.”

Deviation Games was formed in 2020 by two Call of Duty developers with plans for its inaugural project, an original IP exclusive to PlayStation platforms, but never saw its release. However, in September 2022, Jason Blundell, one of the studio’s Co-Founders and Chief Creative Officer, departed. Recent social media activity suggests Blundell’s involvement in a new studio, with former Deviation Games employee JC Farmer’s December post drawing attention from users online.

Deviation Games Studio had over 100 Employees when it signed the deal with Sony. Wonder how they have been doing ever since the news broke down.
