Skydance Games has announced that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been delayed, with the new release window set for early 2026 instead of the previously planned 2025 launch.

In a statement posted on X, the developers confirmed, “We have an important update. Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will now be launching in early 2026. Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision. We have some exciting things in store and look forward to sharing more soon.”

Originally revealed in March 2024 during an Unreal Engine showcase at the Game Developers Conference, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra brings players into a World War II setting. The game features Drew Moerlein as Captain America and Khary Payton as Black Panther, with a story crafted by Amy Hennig, the acclaimed writer and creative director behind the first three Uncharted games.

The official plot of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra follows Captain America and Azzuri, the Black Panther of the 1940s, as they navigate the chaos of war. They must set aside their differences to combat a mutual threat: Hydra. With support from Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos and Nanali, a Wakandan spy in Occupied Paris, this unlikely alliance faces a sinister plot that could turn the tide of WWII.
