Bethesda has released a comprehensive gameplay preview for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, showcasing a detailed look at its mechanics and immersive world.
This 14-minute gameplay video, available now, dives into the adventure game’s core elements, including puzzle-solving, gear upgrades, and combat features. MachineGames audio director, Pete Ward, guides viewers through diverse global settings and the game’s action-packed mechanics, promising an exciting experience.
Set for release on December 9, 2024, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will initially launch on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Game Pass, with a PS5 release following in spring 2025.
Early impressions from VGC are highly positive, with reviewers praising the game as “the Indiana Jones adventure that fans have waited 40 years for.” After a three-hour preview session, VGC noted that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is shaping up to be a standout experience for long-time fans and new players alike, citing MachineGames’ unique approach as a “perfect fit” for the franchise.
The game features acclaimed voice actor Troy Baker as Indiana Jones, with Harrison Ford’s likeness as the character model, creating an authentic yet fresh take on the iconic hero. Todd Howard, Bethesda Games Studios’ executive producer, initially hesitated to cast Baker as Indy, adding a fascinating backstory to the development process.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will also feature the posthumous performance of veteran actor Tony Todd, known for his extensive work across film, television, and video games, who passed away earlier this month.
