Reports suggest that details about the first expansion for Assassin’s Creed Shadows have surfaced online. According to Reddit users, the game’s Steam listing was recently updated to reveal early information about the expansion, but the details were swiftly removed, likely due to being published prematurely.

The expansion, titled Claws of Awaji, is expected to introduce an entirely new explorable area, a fresh weapon type known as the Bō, and over 10 hours of additional gameplay content. This exciting addition promises to expand the game’s world and offer players more engaging experiences.

What’s interesting is that the timing of the Steam listing update aligns with Ubisoft’s recent announcement of delaying Assassin’s Creed Shadows again for the 2nd time. Initially scheduled for release in November 2024 and later postponed to February 2025, but now it’s been pushed back to March 20, 2025.

Ubisoft in a statement explained the reason for the delay is that they needed more time to incorporate feedback from players. “The additional development time would allow it to better incorporate the player feedback gathered over the past three months and help create the best conditions for launch by continuing to engage closely with the increasingly positive Assassin’s Creed community,” the statement read.

Fans awaiting Assassin’s Creed Shadows can look forward to a game that reflects their input, along with the highly anticipated Claws of Awaji expansion.
